QUOTATIONS FROM LONDON. The Bank of Australasia has received Llie following cable, dated April 3, from its London Olllce: — “ New Zealand Lambs.—The demand is good for the time of the year, hut large supplies and weak ’sellers have caused lower prices. The quantity atloat is still very heavy, hut wo do’ not anticipate any increase in value for the time being, unless aciion bv 11 1 c Government is likely to affect the market. “ New Zealand mutton. —The market is affected by large supplies of cheap chilled beef. Supplies of wethers and ewes are more than ’sufficient for Ihe demand, and prices are ratliei weak. ” New Zealand Beef. —There is poor demand owing to large supplies ol cheap chilled beef, but no material change is anticipated, as stocks are. nol too heavy.”
