STAFF OFFICER’S INSPECTION. TOUR OF THE NEAR EAST. (Omcial Wireless, ) (Received April 6, 2.30 p.m.) RUGBY, April a. General Sir Archibald Montgomery Massingberd, Chief of Imperial General Staff, lias returned from his lour of inspection in Egypt, Palestine and the Sudan. Travelling, to a large extent by air, lie was able during March to Inspect all the British units stationed in these countries and witness their training. He also had an opportunity of seeing their barracks and the conditions under which they lived. This is the second year that the Chief of the Imperial General Staff has been able personally to inspect troops stationed outside the United Kingdom.
