RHODES SCHOLARS.

STATEMENT BY TRUST. PROGRESS OF NEW ZEALANDERS. (From a Correspondent.) " LONDON, Nov. 27. The Rhodes Trust in the annual statement reports that during the year 69 Rhodes Scholars look up their scholarships for the first time, and 75 either completed the term oif scholarship or Anally went out of residence without completing it. The following New Zealanders’ names appear in the list of degrees, honours and distinctions:—J. M. Bertram, first-class in English language and literature, in .the final Honour Schools. G. S. Cox, second-class in modern languages, philosophy, politics and economics, in the Final, Honour Schools; and J. E. Lovelock, thirdclass In natural science, in the Final Honour Schools. J. C. Dakin took a first-class in the Colonial Administrative Service course, and J. M. Bertram won the Charles Oldham Scholarship. J. E, Lovelock represented Oxford against Cambridge in athletic sports and in the relay races.
