BOWLING
MORRINSVILLE TOURNAMENT. WON BY CLAUDELANDS. The Morrinsville Bowling Club’s full-rink tournament was won by a team from the Claudelands Bowling Club, comprising Cobb, Clothier, Webber and Speight (skip). Five rounds of games of 14 heads were played, Speight’s rink being the only one to win alt live games. Teams skipped by Delargey (Putaruru) and Krislovieh (To Aroha) had four wins and one loss each, while three wins each were secured by the teams of Green (Matamala), Barnes (To Aroha), Adamson (Thames) and Cornish (.Morrinsville). Sixteen teams competed. The visiting bowlers were welcomed by Mr W. C. Woodley, president of the Morrinsville Club, who at the close of nlay presented trophies to tin; winninTT team.
The result, of the tournament hinged on the lU’fh-round game between Speight and Green, who were 9 all when the last head had to be played. Speight scored one point on the last head (o win tlie game.
