Rear-Admiral Geoffrey Blake has been appointed to the command from July 1 of the cruiser squadron', which 11.M.A.5. Australia will join in 'the Mediterranean. Rear Admiral Geoffrey Blake was formerly Commodore in Command of the New Zealand station and first naval member of the New Zealand Naval Board. He saw service during the Great War, being gunnery commander qn the Iron Duke, in which capacity he participated in the Battle of Jutland. Later lie commanded the Queen Elizabeth when she was the flagship on the Atlantic station.
