Lynch, a brakeman, admits an error which cost the lives of 15 (<not 17) people in the collision between Canadian national trains at Dundas near Hamilton as previously ■cabled. Seeing the second train approaching lie became excited, and threw open the switch that had been closed- to permit the speeding express to pass.
