SOUTHERN MOTOR SMASH
VERDICT AT THE INQUEST. CAUSE 'NOT ESTABLISHED. (By TelegTapb.—press Association.) DUNEDIN, Monday. At an inquest on Messrs Ait-ken, Steven and Moore, who were killed at Rae's Junction, a verdict was returned that deceased met their death when ■their car fell 200 feet down the side •of a steep, rocky gully, there being no evidence to definitely establish the eau.se of the car leaving the road. Although 'the car left Gore with Mr Ai’tken as the driver, it lis surmised that Mr Moore, who intended' buying a new car, was later at the wheel. The >car was in perfect ,mechanical condition, and even after the accident the brakes and steering 'gear were in good order.
