If is understood that serious developments have arisen owing to Australia’s rejection of the meat export restriction plan. As a result the Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, has called an emergency meeting of the Federal Cabinet for December 28. •It is reported that the High Commissioner, Mr S. M. Bruce, cabled to Mr Lyons in strong terms urging the Government to reconsider its action, fcaing serious reprisals against Australia.

Accordingly Mr Lyons has convened a meeting of the Meat Advisory Committee for the same date.
