COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

An enj-oyame 'time was syeiu ai End Hall, Frankton, on. the night of Thursday, 13th last., when a surprise party was held in honour of Mr Jack Kane, on the occasion of his 21st • birthday. There were over forty j guests 'present, and the evening was '.spent in games andl dancing, a special ! feature of which be.ing the execution of -a balloon dance. | A Monte Carlo dance was won by Mi&s S. Turner and'Mr M. O’Leary, j Mr L. Brai'th'ewaite carried out his (duties as M.C- in a capable manner, and Mr H. Crawford supplied excellent diance music. Several popular tunes ' for community .singing were played on . the piano by Mr W. J. Cassidy. I The supper-room was brightly dec--1 orated wilii red, white, pink and blue

streamers, flowers and greenery. Miss Nona Turner made a presentation of a 'Shower bouquet to Mrs Kane, this being followed! by tne according of musical honours.

Mr Henry Delaney, on behalf of Mrs Wane, thanked all present for their good wishes, and for the kind thoughts wrapped up in the bouquet. Those present were:—Mesdames J Kane and M. Glynn, Misses P.
