DISSOLUTION OF MERGER. ADVOCATED BY MAGNATE. United Press Assn.—Pine. T°l. Cooyrlghi BERLIN, Dec. 9. Herr Essberger, shipping magnate, announced to-day that he had submitted to the Government a proposal to dissolve the pooling agreement hetweon the Norddeutscher Lloyd Line and the Hamburg-Amerika Line, which has been in force for 50 years. it is proposed that the IlumburgAmerika concern be divided into independent groups, dealing, first, with the North Atlantic; secondly, with the East, Asia and Australia; and thirdly, with the remainder of the American continent, and that the Norddeutscher Lloyd he divided into groups dealing with the North Allan tie and the Pacific. All smaller associates absorbed in 1930 will be restored lo independence ns, owing to the concenlralivn, t hey arc not paying, although their tonnage lias been reduced from 4,200,000 to 3,100,000'.
