Herr Essberger, shipping magnate, announced to-day that he had submitted to the Government a proposal to dissolve the pooling agreement hetweon the Norddeutscher Lloyd Line and the Hamburg-Amerika Line, which has been in force for 50 years. it is proposed that the IlumburgAmerika concern be divided into independent groups, dealing, first, with the North Atlantic; secondly, with the East, Asia and Australia; and thirdly, with the remainder of the American continent, and that the Norddeutscher Lloyd he divided into groups dealing with the North Allan tie and the Pacific.
