DENOUNCED BY JAPAN. REJOICING IN COUNTRY. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. TOKYO, Deo. 19. The Japanese Privy Council has approved the denunciation of the Washington Naval Treaty. The news caused great rejoicings. High naval authorities joyfully sent it hy wireless to all commanders of squadrons and naval bases, and to high naval officers abroad, including Admiral Yayamoto in London. The Foreign Minister, M. Hirota, informed the Ambassador to Britain, Mr. Matsfudaira, and other Ambassadors.

Formal notification to Washington is expected to be despatched about December 27.

The foreign spokesman says Japan Is agreeable to the suspension of the London conversations, but desires a date for their resumption to be fixed.
