ENJOYABLE BALL,

TE HOE FOOTBALL CLUB. I The Te Hoe Football Club held its j annual ball on Friday, and the attendance was a record one. The music was supplied by Allen’s Orchestra. Mr P. A. Guff made an efficient M.C. Extras were played by Miss M. Thompson. Mr D. Riddle, president of the Taupiri Rugby Union, presented the Vancouver Cup, won by the Te Hoe senior team, to Mr €. Thompson, captain of the team. Mr E. Speedy, president of the Te Hoe 'Club, introduced Mr Riddle, who recounted the history of the cup and congratulated the Te Hoe team on winning it. On handing the cup to the captain he called -for cheers for the Te Hoe team, which were lustily given. Mr 'C. Thompson suitably replied. The president called upon Mr W. D. Thompson, selector of the senior team, to speak. The next speaker was Mr N. Nightingale, on behalf of the members of the team. Mr Nightingale congratulated the Taupiri Union on the fact that Mr M.
