HALL COMMITTEE MEETS. The annual meeting of the Waitoa Hall Committee was held in the hall, when the president, Mr M. Maclean', presided. The balance-sheet for the year ending March ill disclosed a satisfactory position in that the hank overdraft had been reduced from £l2O to £OO. The chairman expressed appreciation or the committee to Mr and Mrs Lynch for their services; to Mr N. Thomson (auditor), and to all those who had assisted at the social functions.

The election of officers resulted: President, Mr M. Maclean'; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Lynch; auditor, Mr N. Thompson; caretaker, Mr A. .Holland; committee, Messrs M. Maclean, J. Lynch, IS'. Thompson, J. Bigwood, and the "guarantors. ' Tennis Meeting. The annual meeting of the Kereonc Tennis Club was held in the Kereonc Hall, when there was a good attendance. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr W. E. Watts;- vice-presidents, Messrs C. B. Daveny and W. J. Aitken; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Held; club captain, Mr W. I. Watts; committee, Mcsdames L. H. Mucqueen', Campbell, Misses O. Wells, J. Reid, S. fTyndman, Messrs D. Reid, R. Harris, M. Campbell, 11. Macqueen, A. Roid and W. I. Watts; delegates to the Waikato East Tennis Association, Messrs R. Harris and W. Fulton. Influenza Epidemic, A mild epidemic or influenza is prevalent in the distinct.
