REMISSION OF RENT
TROTTING CLUB’S POSITION. SYMPATHETIC RESPONSE MADE. Contending that the club should be assisted as far as possible during a period of adverse fortunes, a decision to accept £2OO as full settlement of the rent throughout the 1933-34 season owing by the Waikato Trotting Club, was made at a meeting of Ihe execulive committee or the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association today. Mr W. 11. Miers presided. A delegation from the club, comprising Mr A. E. Manning and llie secretary, Mr T. (!. Reynolds, waited on the executive, and briefly outlined tlio financial position of the club. The total amount owing in cent amounted to |Gs id, mil after consideration (lie executive unanimously resolved lo make a concession and accept £2OO in lieu of llie full sum.
