TERRIBLE BURNS.
WOMAN’S SEVERE INJURIES. ACCIDENT AT HILL CREST. Suffering from very severe burns Miss Bessie Keith, of Auckland, aged 40, was admitted to the Waikato Hospital this morning In a critical condition. 'Miss'Keith was staying with her sister, Mrs T. J. Nelson, of Hillcrest. The. cause of the burning has not been definitely "ascertained. Mr and Mrs Nelson were In the milking shed and Miss Keith was to have • cooked the breakfast. A brother, who was sick in bed, did not hear anything unusual, but when Mr and Mrs Nelson returned from milking they found Miss Keith in a terrible condition, suffering from extensive burns to her face, neck and hands. Her hair was also badly burned. It is surmised that Miss Keith’s clothing caught fire as she was lighting the kitchen range.
