WRIT FOR DAMAGES.
SERVED ON ROTORUA MAYOR. ROTORUA, Friday' A writ claiming £IOO damages for alleged negligence in connection with
legalising a proposed subdivisional plan was to-day served upon the Mayor of Rotorua, Mr T. Jackson, on behalf of Albert George Cottrell. The claim alleged that although the necessary resolution had been passed by the borough council it wrongfully neglected to furnish Die necessary information to the Public Works Department over a period of five months, with the result that plaintiff lost the sale of land and suffered damage. The matter was recently discussed by the council in committee and has been set 'down for hearing at the next silting oi Dio Supi'Qiuo Court u*. Hamilton.
