NOW 86/- PER CWT. MARKET REPORTED FIRM. RETAIL PRICES UP. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office, dated August 4, last week’s figures being given in parentheses: — Butter. —New Zealand: Salted, 83s, 85s to 86s (82s to 84s) ; 83s to 85s equals approximately 9.7 d, f.o.b.;,unsalted, 80s to BQs (80s to 86s). Deliveries: New Zealand, 2183 tons (last year, 1150 tons) ; in store, 8400 tons (last year, 4312 tons). Australian: Salted, 83s to 84s (81s to 83s) ; unsalted, 83s to 85s (80s,to 84s). , Deliveries; Australian, 750 tons (last year, 925 tons) ; in store, 3308 tons (last year, 2025 tons). Aregentine: Unsalted, 78s to 80s (77s to 80s). Danish, 83s, f.0.b.; 100 s to 102 s spot (80s, 98s to 100 s). Dutch: Unsalted, 98s to 102 s (94s to 98s). Estonian: Salted, 70s to 78s (73s to 745). Latvian: Salted, 76s to 78s (73s to 745). Lithuanian: Salted, 76s to 78s (73s to 745). Siberian, 74s (72s to 745). Ukranian, 70s to 72s (70s). The market is firm. New Zealand retail price increased to lid; Danish to is Id.

Cheese. —New Zealand: White, 48s, 48s Od to 49s (49s to 49s 6d) ; equals approximately 5 l-Bd, f.0.b.; coloured, 50s 6d to 51s; 5.4 d, f.o.b. (51s to 525). Deliveries: New Zealand, 19,760 crates, (last year, 20,784 crates); in store 139,358 crates (last year, 66,085 crates). Australian: White, 48s to 49s (48s to 495). Canadian: White, 64s to 60s (64s to 78s) ; new season’s, white, 50s to 55s (51s to 565); coloured, 53s (545); c.i.i'., 51s (53s Od). Deliveries: Canadian, 6000 boxes (last year, 6600 boxes) ; in store, 89,354 boxes (last ye’lr, 118,075 boxes). English finest farmers’, 60s to 65s (58s to 655). The market is quiet. New Zealand retail price unchanged, 6d. The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada: —Butter: New York, 22 cents; Montreal, 20 cents.
