United Press Assn Elec. Tol. Copyright

LONDON, July 29

The declaration by the British Empire delegations set out that the nations of the British Commonwealth should persist by all the means in their power, whether ihonetary or economic, within the limits of sound financing, in the policy of furthering a rise in wholesale prices until there is evidence that equilibrium has been reestablished. Thereupon, it was agreed, they should take whatever measures may be possible to stabilise the position thus attained. • The Empire delegations to the Economic Conference reaffirmed their view that the ultimate aim of monetary policy should be the restoration of a satisfactory international 1 gold standard under which international cooperation would be secured and maintained with a view to avoiding as far as practicable undue fluctuations in the purchasing power of gold. 1 Further it‘was agreed by the delegations to recommend to their Governments that they should consult one another from time to, time on monetary and economic policy with a view to establishing a common purpose and reaffirming such measures as might conduce toward the achievement of that purpose.
