CLAIM FOR ADVERTISING. JUDGMENT FOR £39. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . INVERCARGILL, Saturday. Judgment was delivered by Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., in the case of the Southland News against William McChesney, on a claim for £39 In connection with advertising during the Parliamentary election, at which he .was a candidate. Five members of McChesney’s finance committee were joined as defendants, MoChesney claiming Ihat they verbally agreed to defray liis election costs. Under the equity and good conscience clause the magistrate gavo judgment for the plaintiffs, holding Unit the claim should be settled by defendants jointly and severally. The cost of appeal was fixed at £lO ids. __________________
