The Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Befence, Justice and Marine, left Auckland for Feilding this evening.
Mr B. Girling Butcher, Chief Inspector of Fire Brigades, is visiting Hamilton.
Mr F. Blackwood-Sewell, of Singapore, was a guest at the Hamilton Rotary Club’s luncheon to-day.
Wellington guests at the Hamilton Hotel include Messrs M. Johnson, L. Stewart, G. E. Stark, J. S. Hlddleston, Glynn Roberts, and 11. A. Goodwin.
Hon. J. Bitchener, Minister of Public Works, was accorded a civic reception at Nelson to-day. He visited the primary schools and colleges and received deputations on local matters- He will leave, for Wellington to-night.

Sir George Fowkls. who intends to retire from the presidency of the Auckland University College Council iflcr the July meeting, was larewcllcd on Saturday night. The Rev. M. G. Sullivan, president of the Students' \ssociation, in presenting Sir George with a cheque ami a bound volume of the Jubilee Book, paid a tribute io the high regard in which he had been held bv the student body.
