ROTORUA CHAMPIONSHIPS.

ROTORUA, Tuesday.

The Rotorua Women’s Golf Club's annual open championship and handicap tournament was commenced today in fine weather. The following were the best cards returned in the Canadian foursomes:— Mrs. Rainger and Mrs. J. Wilson, 86, — 72; Mrs. McPherson and Miss Snodgrass, 86, 13—73; Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. La Trobe Hill, 89, 15 — 74; Mrs. Sloane and Miss Black, 91, 16—75; Mrs. Haymes and Mrs. Gray, 98, 21 —77; Mrs. Kelly and Miss Moon, 100, 21 —79; Mrs. Hay and Miss Wilkinson, 88, 8—80; Misses I. and E. Mullan, 99, 19—SO; Mrs. Tapper and Mrs. Aitken, 1 02, 22—80.
