THE LOVE MACHINE.
ENGAGED COUPLES. TESTING THEIR SUITABILITY. A machine which, its inventor claims, can measure the strength of love between two persons at any given time, may shortly be installed in the Pscyclio-technical Institute at Belgrade. Its installation would lie part of a proposed extension of the work of the institute. It is proposed that it shall undertake (lie task of testing engaged couples to ascertain their suitability for one another.
It is argued that in this way psychological experts might be able to • prevent a large number of unhappy j marriages from taking place. The doctor’s consent, as well as that of their p i •cuts, may soon lie required by young men and women who wish to marry in Jugo-Slavia. A bill now before Parliament contains a clause insisting on health! certificates being produced by both j parties before a marriage is allowed to take plac%.
