WRESTLING CONTESTS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Once again the wrestling season opens. For two years, Sir, • glorified muscle-bound American pot- , hunters have extracted money from our New Zealand sporting public, who are really sports who love the game, but .unfortunately have not sufficient knowledge to know when they are seeing real sport or what our American friends would oall “ballooneyl” 1 If our Wrestling Association wishes to better the sport, why not Import such wrestlers as Jack Sherry, George Calza, Sandor Syabo, George Manlch, Sam Stein', Fritz Kley and numerous j others who could be mentioned. Undoubtedly some of our befogged public realise that they, are not seeing the best. Have we no local talent, or is it, Sir, that our local talent has not been given the opportunity to prove itself against these Importations? — I am, etc., TEX OF BAKERSFIELD.
