CANBERRA, May 15,

The cruiser Australia will shortly be refitted and transferred to the Royal Navy in exchange for a vessel of the Leander type which is coming here. The Government hopes when the financial position permits to have an Australian squadron of four Leander type cruisers, a flotilla of destroyers, and the aircraft carrier Albatross, which is to be recommissioned as well as survey sloops.
