The Sunday Express reports the Labour Minister of the House of Commons, Dr. Salter, as having said at a temperance meeting in Glasgow: “ AVe have seen Labour members of Parliament in the House of Commons drinking night after night. We have seen another group who go into the smoking room and soak all the evening until they are stupid. We have seen Labour Cabinet Ministers go into the House of Commons In a condition in which they, could hardly stand." It Is recalled that Dr. Salter was censured by the House of Commons in 1926 for stating that he had seen many members drunk in the House of Commons.
