POSITION AT WELLINGTON. RE-ENGAGEMENT OP CREIWS. FUMIGATION OF QUARTERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The re-engagement of seamen whtf were paid off as a -esult of the' shipping dispute has proceeded satisfactorily. Most of the vessels affected by the dispute have resumed their usual running and the shipping position at Wellington is almost back to normal. The auxiliary vessel Echo left here last Friday for Blenheim with a volunteer crew and arrived back to-day. Ac was the case with the Tamahine, the Echo’s union crew refused to man the vessel until their quarters had been fumigated and cleaned out. This was done to-day. . The Maunganui is due here from Sydney to-morrow manned by a voiunteer crew, who will be signed off to-mo "row. A union crew will then be signed oft. CREWS REBUME AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Monday. MoTe vessels which had been delayed by the seamen’s dispute sailed •on Saturday. The remainder of the local coastal ships resumed their time-tables and left for gulf and coastal ports during the day. POSITION IN DUNEDIN. CREWS REJOIN SHIPS. DUNEDIN, Saturday. The Storm’s crew rejoined this morning. She has steam up to sail this afternoon. The Waipiata’s crew are due by this afternoon’s express, and the vessel is scheduled to sail at 8 o’clock for Auckland.
