3EVEN MILE RUN HELD. G. WALL FIRST TO FINISH. The Hamilton Harrier Club’s run on Saturday was over a course of about seven miles, commencing from the motorists’ camp, the trail followed the river bank up to the Island, then struck across to the railway line, leading home through the Lake. The run In from the pumping station resulted:—G. Wall 1, C. Bowling 2, G. Hoult 3.

The pace set was slightly faster than previously, as .the first race or the season takes place next week, and members arc getting fit for this event. This is the novice race, run over a road course of about three miles. It is the shortest race the club conducts, but by no means the easiest on that account. None of the best runners will be eligible to compete, and as the capabilities of the new runners are not yet known, the handicapper’s task will he no easy one. As form in each race Is considered when selection of the A team is made, keen rivalry will no doubt he displayed in next Saturday’s contest.
