A SHARP DECLINE.
(Received April 27, 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 26
A sharp decline was experienced by the pound to-day. The closing rate was GJ cents weaker, at 3 dollars 79i cents for cables. The decline is attributed by local bankers to Britain’s announcement of her intention to utilise the stabilisation funds to end the currency’s soaring. The" Canadian dollar closed at SG icents.
