TWO WOMEN INJURED. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. A widow, Mrs Christina Arnold, aged 85 years, fell and fractured her right arm. Mrs Elizabeth Ililison, received a fracture of the left ankle as the result of a fall. MILL MANAGER KILLED. TURANGI, Wednesday. At the Tuwharetoas Timber Company’s mill at Waihi village, to-day, Hie manager, Mr. Pan Marin, was attempting to fasten a strop round a log at the slip when the log slipped, crushing him against another log. lie died two hours later. BOY 1 SCALDED TO DEATH. MA3THRTON. Wednesday. Suspended by his jumper from a tap over a copper containing hot water, a hoy, Peter Waller Perry, aged two years, was fatally scalded. Apparently Hie boy climbed up the tubs on lo the copper, Ihe lid of which collapsed wit li Ills weight, Ids jumper catching the lap. Ills mother heard him scream and found the hoy with Ids legs and Hie lower part of his body in the water. He was taken lo the hospital, where his death occurred to-day.
