THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. HEALTHY TONE CONTINUES. (By Telegrapli.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. The healthy tone continues on the Stock Exchange, and there lias been a fair number of sales over the last 24 hours, with values well maintained. Government Issues are steady, though tlie scarcity of offerings limits business.
The breweries section is firm, and advanced still further with a sale at £l,9s 3d, and more were wanted at that figure. Gas shares, too, are in demand, the sum of 22s being offered for Auckiands, with no holders quoting. Renown Colliery shares were available at 2s 3d for ord., and Is 6d for •profs. , Gear Meat scrip was wanted at £1 16s Od. The Noon Call. At the noon call 4 per rent.
