CROQUET.
HINUERA CLUB. A FAREWELL AFTERNOON. The members of the Ilinuera Croquet Club met at Mrs B. Tisch’s residence on Saturday afternoon t<y bid farewell to Mrs S., Housten, who is leaving to take up her residence at Kiwltahi.
A pleasant time was spent with competitions, table and target croquet, the winners being Mrs Hammonds, Mrs Rowe and Mrs de Renzy. Mrs W. Oates, president of the club, presented Mrs Housten with a pokerwork vase.
The recipient suitably replied, musical honours being accorded. Those present were:—Mesdames B. Tisch, S. Housten, Settle senr., (Milford), W. Oates, T. de Renzy, A. Rowe, H. Settle, R. Hawke, C. Collins, G. Collins, W. Maud, A. Kernot, J. Calder, M. Hammonds, and F. Germann.
