A SUGGESTION.
(To the Editor). Sir, —Let us in New Zealand help the farmer. Why should we be paying Is per lb, for butter to the retailer when the farmer is only getting 6id for it. Let there be a fixed price of not less than Is per lb, direct to the farmer for all butter sold in New Zealand, the price outside of New Zealand to be governed by the markets. Many retailers are -making a big profit out of butter at present.—l am, eto., HELP THE FARMER.
