ELECTION POLL CLERKS.
(To the Editor). Sir, —I noticed in a recent copy of your’valuable paper ,an advertisement calling applications for positions as poll clerks for the Municipal elections. I notice also that applicants with previous experience were specially asked for. I sincerely hope that on this occasion preference'will not be given to solicitors, public accountants or other professional men In business. There are dozens of men in the ranks of the unemployed who have sufficient commonsense to hand out voting papers, and I trust they will be given an opportunity to earn a few shillings on May 3rd next. —1 am, etc., EXPERIENCED. Hamilton, April 24, 1923.
