PERSIAN OIL DISPUTE.
AGREEMENT REACHED. RENEWAL OF % CONCESSION. LONDON, April 23. The special correspondent of the Daily Herald says that the Shah, of Persia and Sir John Gadman have initialled a preliminary agreement at Teheran, ending the Anglo-Pcrsian oil dispute. Persia will receive 21 instead of 16 per cent of tlie Anglo-Prussinn Corhpany’s profits, besides a small perrentage of the profits of the subsidiary companies.
A renewal of the Darcy concession for 60 years has been secured, and also the right to exploit the' vast untouched oilfields in the northern provinces of Persia,
