AUSTRALIAN LABOUR.
ALL-IN SOCIALISM PLATFORM FOR THE ELECTIONS. MR J. H. SCULLIN'S APPEAL. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY, April 23. Two hundred and fifty delegates from socialisation units and unions held a conference in Sydney in defiance of instructions from the Inner group of the Trades Hall. Representatives of the Miners’ Federation and Australian Railways Union were present. The conference opposed a breakaway from the Lang section of the Labour Party, but decided to work for the overthrow of the Lang: section’s policy for the socialisation of credit, in favour of all-in socialisation, as the fighting platform for the next Federal elections. At the conference of the Federal Labour Party. Mr J. H. Scullin appealed for unity. He said only one voice could speak for Labour throughout Australia and told the 200 delegates he would stand for nothing immoral or 'confiscatory, but nationalisation of banking was essential.
