WINTER RELIEF FUND.

GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S APPEAL. The following is a list to date of promises which have been received at Government House, Wellington, of goods in kind for the GovernorGeneral’s Winter Relief Fund. This list is separate from that of monetary contributions, although a number of those whose names appear below have, in addition, made donations in His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, .12 fat sheep; Mr J. Connolly, M.P., Rakala, 40 fat sheep (or value in cash); Mr J. Purvis, Trentham, six sheep; Mr Donald McDonald, Edendale, proceeds of one truck fat sheep and one truck fat cattle; Wellington-Raetihi Transport Company, Wellington, free transport of goods from country to city; anonymous, Wellington, 52 loads of wood; Mr W. J. Saxby, Cambridge, one sack of potatoes and two sacks of pumpkins; Mr C. W. Grubb, Wellington, cost of four bags of coal; Mr and Mrs W. G. Talbot, Wellington, 2olbs of honey; Mr W. Moodabe, Auckland (on behalf of the Amalgamated Theatres of New Zealand), 1000 tickets for use In Amalgamated Theatres in New Zealand; anonymous, Wellington, offer of olothing, etc.; Mr R. A.
