ALLEGED ASSAULT
WIFE ACCUSES HUSBAND. \ REMAND GRANTED. AUCKLAND. Wednesday. A motm* painter, Lawreiiee Stanley Ivil, aged i. 3, appeared before Mr F. K. limit, S.M.. in llm Police Coil'd yslei'day, charged with assaulting his wife. Mildred Muriel Ivil. on Monday, Counsel for accused requested a remand and also applied lor bail, hot Mr ginger, representing Mrs Ivil, said lie did not think accused should ho allowed his liberty, as he understood that accused look a knife and attemplcd to cut his wife's 11 iron t. The magistrate refused hail, accused being remanded until Friday.
