CHURCH UNION DISCUSSED. MENACE OF COMMUNISM. AUCIvLAND, Wednesday. Members of the Methodist Conference assembled at the Pitt Street Church yesterday morning for the conference communion service, which was conducted by the president, the Rev. A. J. Seamcr. Resolutions submitted by the Spiritual Advance Committee, proposing the holding of evangelistic missions throughout the Dominion, were adopted. It was agreed that, a Methodist social service association should he established for the Dominion, to unify the social activities of the Church.

The Primate of New Zealand, Archbishop Averil, was tiie principal speaker of a deputation from the Auckland Council of Christian Congregations, which wailed un the conference. The effect of simultaneous Cist ions in Auckland, in drawing closer ttic bonds of Church unity, was referred to by the archbishop in conveying the greetings of the council to Hie conference.
