Storm Causes Damage. Dne of the severest electrical storms/ experienced here passed over Otorohanga on Saturday morning. The principal damage was the destruction of about five chains of fencing on the property of Mr P. 11. Rowe, of Kio Kio. A valuable Jersey heifer, which had evidently been near tlie path of the lightning, was electrocuted. Aeroplane Flights. That Otorohanga and district ard decidedly “air-minded,” was evidenced on Saturday and Sunday, when large numbers took the air in the monoplane, “Aorangi,” piloted by Mr S. J. Blaekmore, of Hamilton. Railway Picnic Sports. The annual Otorohanga and Ta Kuiti Railway picnic and sports were held during the week-end, on Mr Rotlicry’s farm, when there was an attendance of upwards of five hundred.
