TAUWHARE.

Gymkhana. A gymkhana in aid of the Sports Club was held in Mr Massey’s paddock last Saturday. The day was fine and a large crowd of both old and young gathered , a most enjoyable time being spent in races, games, etc., with a lolly scramble for the children. in the evening a jolly dance was held, when the prizes for the various events during the day were presented. Music for the dance was supplied by Miss D. Windsor, an extra being played by Mr D. Fell on the accordeon. Garden Party. A garden party in aid of Presbyterian Church funds is to be held i& the school grounds on Saturday'next. Personal. Mr F. Windsor is spending a holiday at Palmerston North.
