The second and 'concluding day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s summer meeting was held to-day in fine weather before a large attendance. The track was in good order. TO BE DESTROYED. DUNEDIN, Sunday. Mr J. M. Samson has sent instructions to Sydney to destroy his Uvoyear old colt Garter Knight, by Licnond —Anklet, as the case appears hopeless. Garter Knight received his injury when being landed from the steamer at Sydney, when lie accompanied Admiral Drake on his trip in the spring. INQUIRY FOR AIGUILLE. GISBORNE, Monday. The Gisborne gelding Aiguille, winner of the Douro Gup at Trenthan last month, and of a total of .eight races this season, has been placed under offer to an Australian buyer at 1000 guineas. If he is not sold he will be given a special preparation for the Easter Handicap at the Auckland autumn meeting.
