Knox has 'retired from the board of directors of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company after almost 69 years’ service with the organisation. ■Mr Edward William Knox, who was general manager of the Colonial Sugar Company since 1880, is a son of the late Sir Edward Knox, the founder of the company. Mr Knox was born In Sydney In 1874, and has been a Fel- ' low of the Senate of the University pf Sydney since 1894.
