FIRE CALLS.
NINE DURING MONTH. UNUSUAL FALSE ALARM. Nine calls were received by the Hamilton Fire Brigade in November five being to property fires, one to a gorse outbreak and another to a peat fire. One call was received to a fire outside the brigade’s area. A false alarm raised during the month was due to a fault in the alarm system. In the corresponding month last year only three calls were received, two being to refuse fires and one to a property outbreak.
