MOTORIST CHARGED
RESULT OF COLLSSION. INFORMATION DISMISSED. Charged with failing to give a required signal when driving a car, Robert Brook Parsons (Mr. King), pleaded not guilty In the Hamilton Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. Charles Falkert gave evidence that he followed in his car a horse lloat on the road to Ngahlnapouri. Defendant’s car passed him and stopped suddenly when the horse - float stopped. He gave no signal and witness collided with him. Cross-examined, witness denied that he was* about 150 yards behind the defendant when the latter stopped. Defendant gave evidence that when the horse-float stopped he signalled to the previous witness who was then from 10 to 13 chains away. Instead of pulling up the driver advanced and collided wilh him. In the subsequent discussion Falkert gave no excuse for the accident. In dismissing the charge, Mr. Wy vern Wilson, S.M., said it was clear that Falkert, on his own story, had ample room to stop but had failed to gee the signal.
