TO-NIGHT’S PROGRAMMES. THEATRE ROYAL. " Old Vienna" delighted audiences at the Theatre Royal yesterday. It is | a film that leads the spectator on stage | by stage, until lie finds himself in a | realm of most charming fantasy. The ! effect is mainly due to the inspiration i of the music, which blends with movement and action perfectly. That a historic incident should provide the background for a musical romance that rings with laughter and gaiety seems Unusual, yet such is the case with "Old Vienna." The Vienna Congress of 1815, when the royalty of Europe congregated at the Austrian capital to decide the fate of Napoleon, is- the scene for the story, the Czar of Russia as the hero, with a pretty little milliner and the Prime Minister of Austria as the heroine and arch plotter respectively. Lilian Harvey is a very charming heroine, and splendid support comes from Conrad Veidt, Lil Dagover, and. Henry Carat.
