The Hawke’s Bay touring cricket team redeemed its reputation to-day in Its match against Wellington by making 297 for the loss of five wickets in the second innings, then declaring. F. Finlayson, captain of the team, scored 113. AL O’Brien scored an even century in 145 minutes. The Wellington howling came in for punishment. Wellington in its second innings scored 49 for one wicket, and the match was drawn. Hawke’s Bay in its first innings scored 122 runs, Wellington replying with 253. Tlie Hawke’s Bay team will play Otago at Dunedin on Friday and Saturday.
