ONE INNINGS’ VICTORY.

ENGLAND’S GREAT WIN

NEW SOUTH WALES MATCH

VOCE’S SUCCESS WITH BALL. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY. Nov. 29. The cricket match England versus New South Wales ended to-day in a win for the visitors by an innings and 44 runs. Bradman, who was indisposed yesterday, was able to play today. When stumps were drawn yesterday England had made 530 in their first innings and New South Wales *2 i 3 in their first and 08 for three wickets in their second, Kippax (3) and Ilird (7) being not out. The game was continued to-day in hot weather, on a wearing wicket. Kippax started nicely, but could not resist swinging at Voce’s bumping deliveries and was caught at deep fine leg. Bradman filled the vacancy, but immediately lost Ilird, who put up his bat to protect his body and was caught at silly mid-on. Bradman and Cummins then became associated in a useful partnership of 03 runs. Cummins placed Ihe ball nicely and hit many fours. He was confident against six of the English bowlers. Bradman was very unfortunate. He was batting sedately when Voce pitched one only half-way up Ihe pitch. Bradman, thinking it would fly over his head, walked away from the wicket, but ihe ball failed to rise and took his middle stump. The total then was 101 for six wickets, Voce having five for 45. Just before luncheon some hurricane batting by Cummins was seen and three overs from Voce yielded 40 runs, Cummins repeatedly hitting him to the fence. At the adjournment Cummins had made 71 in 00 minutes, including 12 fours. In all 108 runs were made before luncheon. A quarter of an hour sufficed to finish the match after luncheon. Allen and Brown dismissed the remaining batsmen. Voce bowled a good length and proved that he is a very awkward type of bowler to score off. This was England's third single innings victory, the other teams defeated by that margin being South Australia and Victoria. Details of the scores are: ENGLAND. First Innings 530 NEW SOUTH WALES.
