(Mr AV. J. flampton-Reynolds, of Christchurch, Is in Hamilton, v Mr E. C. Purdom, of Auckland, formerly on the staff of the local Defence Office, is in Hamilton. Mr J. Maughan Barnett has been elected president of the Auckland Society of Musicians. Mr A. G. Wallas, a British officer of the maritime customs service, arrived at Auckland, by the Aorangi yesterday on a holiday visit to New Zealand. The Rev. E. C. Hetherington, formerly curate of Rotorua, has been appointed rector of Flempton with Hengravc, Suffolk, writes a London correspondent. Messrs. W. Good fellow, C. J. Parlane and Dynes Fulton returned to Auckland last evening by the Monowal after attending a meeting of directors of Empire Dairies, Limited, in Melbourne. Dr. IT. B. Lange, a New Zealander who has been for the past three years a district medical officer under the Tongan Government, returned to Auckland by the Aorangi yesterday. He Intends to resume practice in the Dominion. Mr g. F. Blrks, of Sydney, second vice-president of Rotary International, passed through Auckland yesterday by the Aorangi on his return from a visit to North America and Great Britain. Mr Birks addressed the Auckland Rotary Club at Us luncheon yesterday. Mr R. Collins, who has been a resident of Mastcrton for the past 14 years, will leave shortly to reside in the Morrinsville distirct. Mr Collins is a member of Ihe Mastcrton Savage Club and the Soldiers’ Glub and in both organisations lias been a valuable member, giving freely of his services. A founder and past-president of the Dublin Rotary Glub, Mr R. It. White, arrived at Auckland by the Monowai last evening on a fortnight's tour of New Zealand. To-morrow he will leave Auckland on a lour embracing the Waitonm Caves. Rotorua and the Wanganui River, and will sail from Wellington on his return to Ireland.
