HORSE FAIR. Messrs. G. W. Vereoe and Co., Ltd., report having held their second annual spring horse sale at Claudelands Showgrounds on Friday, 25th Inst. There was a medium entry of horses, mainly of a lighter class. The demand for heavy farm horses was keen, and prices realised late market rates. Lighter farm horses sold less readily. Hacks were slow of sale. We quote: Good heavy farm horses, £29 10s to £3l; lighter draught horses, £2O 10s to £26 10s; light, £ls to £2O; hacks and light horses, £5 to £ll.
