WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
IVIATAIYIATA BRANCH. The Matamata Women's Institute celebrated its third birthday hi the Town Hall, where there was a large attendance. Mr G. G. Bell, on behalf of the president. Mrs Bell, welcomed the members of visiting Institutes. Members of the local body provided a varied and enjoyable entertainment, the ladies taking part being Miss Ped erson. Mesdamos .1. Buchanan. K. L. Buchanan. L. W. Bachman, G- G. Bell. A. G. Find later. P. Laurie, .1. Montague, P. Stewart and Glyffc Taylor. Music for I lie d Hiring was provided by the “Mickey the Mouse" hand. Messr.-u Clyffe Taylor and K. E. Buchanan acted as M's.id. The birthday cake, a flee being cut bv Mrs Bell, was handed round.
